Ms. Phyllis Tsang
PRINCIPAL
Bachelor of Education with Honours (Middlesex University, UK), Master of Education in Special Needs, Giftedness and Counselling with Distinction (The Education University of Hong Kong), Post Basic Diploma of Early Childhood Education (Canada), Certificate for Kindergarten Principals (Hong Kong Baptist University), Certificate in Supervisory (HKIHRM), Qualified Behavior Analysis
Phyllis came back from Canada in 2002, and has been working in the early childhood education field for over 20 years. Having been educated overseas and in international settings for many years. Phyllis believes that learning through play sets the foundation for children to build confidence in future learning. Children should also be able to express their creativity freely. She strongly thinks building on children’s character and confidence is more important than academic results when they are at a young age. Their characters determine their success later on in life and for them to develop to their full potential. We need to know children’s strengths and build on them, which will improve their confidence. Children who have more confidence are more likely to demonstrate better learning attitudes and abilities; which then will help with their academics, or their hobbies as they grow up.
Prior to joining Kendall, Phyllis worked in an International Kindergarten in Hong Kong for 17 years, 6 years as a teacher and then 11 years in a leadership position. Throughout the years, the path of learning has never stopped for Phyllis. During her spare time, Phyllis enjoys hobbies such as candle making, pastel art and western calligraphy.
Ms. Joice Chen

She believes that the larger task of educating children can’t be done alone. We must work hand in hand in full collaboration with others to find common paths toward the successful growth and development of our younger generation. Kendall International Preschool is delighted to have Ms. Chen shares her passion for children and deep experience as Kendall’s Co-principal. We firmly believe that she will bring an incredible depth of professional knowledge and practice to help Kendall embed a strong thread of Chinese culture and value into our school curriculum for the benefit of all Kendall children and families.

ENVIRONMENT
CAMPUS DESIGN
There is no question that the quality of a child’s education is powerfully influenced by their learning environment. We at Kendall International Preschool have taken references from some of the best kindergarten designs over the world and engaged a dynamic and creative team of architects and artists to help us design a one-of-a-kind campus.
We have created a learning environment where classrooms and open areas seamlessly converge allowing students to move from a structured environment into a larger free-flowing open space. The unique five metre ceiling of the premises also provides greater flexibility for creative use of the campus both horizontally and vertically,
Grounded in the concept of community, the facilities warmly encourage interdisciplinary and interclass interaction where personal and structured learning can truly come together.
CAMPUS LOCATIONS
Our West Kowloon campus is located in Cheung Sha Wan (one minute from Exit A2 of Cheung Sha Wan MTR station) allowing easy access from all areas of Hong Kong. We are honoured to be in a neighborhood surrounded by several quality primary schools in the area.
